For many of us, this past year has been a time of withdrawing and becoming less active.As we emerge from this time, we may feel that our bodies — and our hearts — have contracted. In this two-hour yoga workshop, we will work to bring freedom to the body through standing, seated and restorative yoga poses — with special emphasis on the chest and heart center.

About Cindy: CIYT, E-RYT-500, IAYT, is a Level 3 nationally certified Iyengar yoga instructor. She worked as an assistant attorney general in Massachusetts before devoting herself to the study of yoga in 1998. She has been teaching group classes and working privately with students since 2006. She is a student of Patricia Walden, one of the foremost yoga teachers in the world. Cindy travels to Pune, India to study at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute and continues to study with senior teachers at home and abroad.

Devoted to the art, science, and philosophy of yoga according to the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar and his family, Brian is a keen practitioner who has been teaching full-time since 2004. He is first and foremost a student of this rich subject — and travels regularly to Pune, India to study at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI). He is eager to share with students both his teachings — and the light that yoga can bring.
